Job summary

Good Shepherd Australia New Zealand is seeking a Financial Wellbeing Coach to support individuals who have experienced financial abuse. You will provide trauma-informed coaching, help develop practical financial roadmaps and build independence while coordinating with community services for a holistic response.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
• Experience delivering financial wellbeing/coaching.
• Understanding of domestic and family violence, including financial abuse, and trauma-informed practice.
• Strong coaching and goal-setting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work with diverse backgrounds with culturally sensitive practice.
• Current driver license and ability to meet checks.
• Fluency in Mandarin, Tamil or Korean is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one trauma-informed financial coaching to help participants build wellbeing, confidence and independence.
• Help participants set meaningful goals and develop personalised financial roadmaps with ongoing support.
• Identify financial risks and connect participants with financial counselling, legal and other services.
• Build relationships with community organisations and lead financial wellbeing workshops and groups.
• Provide flexible support in person, by phone or online, tailored to participants’ needs.
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure privacy and consent requirements.
