Job summary

Sarina Russo Group in Brisbane CBD is seeking a Financial Controller to lead financial reporting, governance and operational finance across a multi-entity group. You will report to the Chief Financial Officer and drive month-end close, consolidation, policy integrity and internal controls while delivering forward‑looking analysis to support executive decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly and annual financial reporting including consolidation across the Group.
• Lead month-end and year-end close with balance sheet governance and intercompany accounting.
• Maintain integrity of the Group's financial records, accounting policies, reconciliations and internal control environment.
• Oversee statutory financial reporting and compliance with Australian Accounting Standards.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and management reporting cycle with executives and operational leaders.
• Oversee BAS, FBT, payroll tax and other regulatory reporting obligations.
• Direct external audit processes and manage relationships with auditors and key advisers.
• Translate financial performance into clear commercial insights for executive decision-making.
• Provide day-to-day leadership of the finance function, developing team capability and a disciplined culture.
• Support CFO on strategic initiatives, acquisitions and finance systems transformation.
