Job summary

Challenger Limited in Sydney is seeking a Senior Accountant to own month-end reporting, balance sheet control, and statutory disclosures. You will work within the Life Insurance and Investments Financial Control team, driving issues to resolution and building end-to-end understanding of data flows from source systems to reports.

You will be CA or CPA qualified (or equivalent) with strong statutory reporting experience, consolidations, and financial control.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified or equivalent with strong statutory reporting experience.
• Experience owning month-end, balance sheet reconciliations and consolidations.
• Familiarity with Australian taxation and regulatory reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end reporting and balance sheet reconciliations for multiple entities.
• Prepare statutory financial statements and disclosures for ASX reporting.
• Investigate variances by tracing source data and system flows.
• Lead on complex accounting matters and provide well-supported recommendations.
• Ensure reporting aligns with tax, audit and management needs.
