Job summary

Launch Group, Sydney-based, is seeking a skilled finance professional to manage the end-to-end month-end close for life and non-life entities and lead local/statutory reporting. You will collaborate with Actuarial, Tax, Planning, Operations and Finance teams to deliver accurate financial information for management review and sign-off.

The role requires CPA/CA qualifications with 5+ years post-qualification experience in financial services, ideally with an insurance background, and strong

Qualifications

• CPA/CA qualified or equivalent with 5+ years post-qualification experience.
• Experience within financial services, ideally with an insurance background.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting and insurance accounting.
• Experience with statutory and regulatory reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience working with SAP General Ledger.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end month-end close process across life and non-life entities.
• Lead quarterly local/statutory reporting, ensuring all reporting obligations are met accurately and on time.
• Work closely with Actuarial, Tax, Planning, Operations and Finance stakeholders to deliver reporting requirements.
• Support audit processes, responding to auditor queries and ensuring findings are addressed appropriately.
• Ensure financial reporting and controls comply with relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Contribute to process improvements across the finance and reporting function.
• Support broader financial governance and regulatory sign-off activities.
• Build strong relationships across Finance and the wider business to ensure accurate and consistent financial information.
• Lead, develop and mentor team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
