Job summary

NECA Education & Careers – Carlton North VIC is seeking a commercially minded Senior Financial Analyst to drive financial performance, partner with operational leaders, and strengthen governance across the organisation. This role moves beyond traditional reporting to deliver meaningful insights and support strategic decisions.

You will lead month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis while partnering with leaders to drive improvements and ensure compliance.

Qualifications

• CPA or CA qualification (or working towards completion).
• Experience as a Senior Financial Analyst, Management Accountant, or Senior Accountant.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and modelling experience.
• Solid understanding of accounting standards, compliance, and statutory reporting.
• Proven ability to analyse complex data and provide insights.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Proactive, solutions-focused approach with attention to detail.
• Advanced Excel and financial systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Lead the month-end close process including journals, accruals, prepayments, payroll, and revenue recognition.
• Budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.
• Partner with operational leaders to drive decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement and finance transformation initiatives.
• Build financial capability and governance across the organisation.
