Job summary

Centurion Asia Pacific Rentals & Services is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to deliver forward‑looking financial and commercial insights across the business. This role goes beyond traditional reporting, requiring you to explain movements, forecast with conviction, and advise on actions to protect EBITDA, revenue and cash flow.

You will work across P&L, GL, projects and customers, translating data into actionable guidance for management and presenting clear commercial recommendations.

Qualifications

• A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
• Demonstrated expertise in financial analysis, modelling, and business performance reporting.
• Strong understanding of the P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow.
• Proven forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and the ability to interrogate large, complex datasets.
• Strong commercial and business acumen.
• Exceptional investigative and problem‑solving capability.
• The confidence to challenge assumptions and senior stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
• High attention to detail while maintaining a strategic and commercially focused perspective.
• Sound professional judgement and the confidence to elevate issues when required.
• Proactive and ability to work autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Understand how the business generates value and the operational drivers that underpin its financial performance.
• Interrogate unusual, unexpected or unexplained movements, rather than simply report variances.
• Bring conviction to forecasting, and challenge assumptions where the forecast does not reflect operational reality.
• Proactively identify cost pressures, margin erosion, revenue leakage and emerging financial risk.
• Anticipate potential show stoppers before they materially impact Revenue, EBITDA, Margin or Cash Flow.
• Challenge management assumptions constructively and objectively.
• Pursue issues to their root cause and recommend practical, decisive corrective action.
• Distil complex financial and operational information into clear, actionable commercial advice.
• Earn the position of trusted adviser to management through the rigor, accuracy and objectivity of their analysis.
• Translate key financial/ commercial performance data into executive presentations, dashboards and graphics that simplify business insights and enable effective decision making.
