Job summary

The Knorr-Bremse Group - Australia is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant for the Hybrid Global Finance team in Sydney. This on-going full-time position focuses on statutory and financial reporting in compliance with Australian standards, with responsibilities across month-end close, GL maintenance, GST/FBT, and cash flow forecasting.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, Commerce or related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience.
• Experience in financial and statutory reporting, including providing technical accounting advice and reconciliations.
• Experience in SAP systems and advanced Excel for analysis and data management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong stakeholder engagement.
• Professional accounting qualifications – CAANZ or CPAA preferred, or six years’ financial reporting experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver statutory financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes and GL reconciliations.
• Ensure GST and FBT compliance and cash flow forecasting.
• Maintain relationships with internal units and external auditors.
• Provide technical accounting advice to the Financial Control team.
