Knorr-Bremse Australia is seeking a hands-on Financial Accountant to manage key financial processes across the Australian business. You will support month-end/year-end reporting, perform reconciliations, cashflow forecasting and tax support while collaborating with finance teams locally and with GBS.
The role covers reconciliations, cashflow forecasting, tax support and financial controls, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement.
Knorr-Bremse is a global leader in the Rail and Commercial Vehicle industries, with more than 30,000 employees worldwide. In Australia, we work with some of the biggest names in both industries, providing the products, technology and services that help keep Australia moving.
Being part of Knorr-Bremse means having the backing of a global organisation while working in a local business where you can get involved, build relationships and make a difference.
We're looking for a Financial Accountant who enjoys getting into the detail, takes pride in accurate financial reporting and likes finding better ways of doing things.
This is a hands-on accounting role where you'll take responsibility for key financial processes across our Australian business.
You'll work closely with our local Finance team and Global Business Services (GBS) colleagues, supporting month-end and year-end reporting, maintaining accurate accounts and helping resolve accounting issues.
The role covers a broad range of accounting activities, from reconciliations and cashflow forecasting through to tax support and financial controls.
Beyond the day-to-day accounting, you'll have the opportunity to strengthen our financial processes, improve the accuracy of our reporting and become someone the wider business can rely on. We're looking for someone who takes pride in getting the numbers right and wants to leave things working better than they found them.
You'll be someone who enjoys accounting, is comfortable working through the detail and takes responsibility for getting things right.
You like solving problems, following things through and building good working relationships. You're also open to challenging existing processes when you can see a better way.
You'll be part of an established global industry leader, working with colleagues locally and internationally and gaining exposure to a broader finance network.
