Job Overview

We’re seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join our team on an 18-month fixed-term contract at our Sydney Head office in Barangaroo. The role reports to the Finance Manager - Financial Control and involves preparing statutory financial reports and ASX compliance reporting. The position offers a hybrid work pattern: 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly general ledger reconciliations, including transactions, journals, and maintaining key balance sheet accounts.
• Maintain integrity of key balance sheet control accounts, including bank clearing accounts.
• Provide timely financial reporting and analysis support to the Financial and Commercial Accounting Teams.
• Support the preparation of local statutory financial statements.
• Drive process and system improvements for enhanced financial reporting.
• Perform intercompany reconciliations and group consolidations.
• Support the Financial Accounting Manager and Financial Controller.
• Serve as a point of contact for key finance matters and technical accounting issues.

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Accountant with experience in business partnering within a large organization. Essential skills include:

• Experience with ASX/ASIC reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong project management and prioritization skills.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and proactive.
• Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
