Job summary

Clarity Partners in Western Australia is seeking a Senior Financial Accountant to join a growing resources business. You’ll report to the Financial Controller and contribute to financial reporting, tax compliance and statutory accounting across a multi-entity group.

Ideal candidates are CA/CPA qualified with 5+ years’ experience, strong technical accounting knowledge and proven ability to meet tight deadlines. Perth-based, with exposure to external audit and ASX reporting.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified with strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.
• Experience in a listed mining/resources environment is preferred.
• Proven ability in tax, budgeting and forecasting, month-end and external audit.

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting month-end and year-end close processes
• Preparing accurate financial and management reports
• Taking responsibility for tax compliance and reporting requirements
• Supporting annual budgeting and forecasting processes
• Preparing and analysing budgets, forecasts and financial performance
• Supporting statutory and ASX reporting
• Assisting with half-year and full-year reporting
• Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and financial analysis
• Managing and supporting external audit processes
• Assisting with technical accounting matters and Australian Accounting Standards
• Working across a complex multi-entity environment
• Providing financial analysis and insights to senior stakeholders
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting
• Contributing to finance projects and other ad hoc commercial initiatives

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and expanding resources business, working within a high-performing finance team and gaining broad exposure across financial reporting, tax, budgeting, forecasting, statutory accounting and technical accounting.

The Role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the Group's financial reporting and accounting functions.

About You

We are looking for a CA/CPA qualified Senior Financial Accountant with strong technical accounting and financial reporting experience.

Ideally, you will have:

• CA/CPA qualification
• 5+ years’ relevant accounting experience
• Experience within a listed, mining or resources environment
• Strong financial reporting and technical accounting knowledge
• Experience across tax, budgeting and forecasting
• Experience with month-end, statutory reporting and external audit
• Strong understanding of Australian Accounting Standards
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Experience with ASX reporting, group consolidations and complex multi-entity environments will be highly regarded.
