Job summary

The University of Queensland is seeking a skilled Finance Administrator for UQ Res to provide general financial and accounts support. You will process transactions, prepare reports and budgets, and contribute to monthly profit and loss reviews while liaising with customers and suppliers.

Qualifications

• Qualification in accounting, finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum five years’ experience in a finance, accounts or similar role.
• Experience across accounts receivable and accounts payable, including reconciliations and debt management.
• Strong working knowledge of Xero or a comparable accounting system.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
• High level of accuracy with financial records.

Responsibilities

• Provide general financial and accounts support to UQ Res, processing and recording transactions.
• Prepare reports and budgets, and conduct monthly profit and loss reviews.
• Raise invoices and process tax invoices; manage refunds and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable/receivable including supplier statements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial processes and internal controls.
