Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in finance, financial reporting, financial control or group finance.

Responsibilities

• Own share-based payment accounting and remuneration reporting.
• Ensure compliance with AASB 2 / IFRS 2 and AASB 119.
• Manage monthly, quarterly and annual remuneration accounting and reconciliations.
• Support external financial reporting, disclosures and annual reporting requirements.
• Oversee employee equity plans including grants, vesting, forfeitures and exercises.
• Collaborate with HR, payroll, tax, legal and senior leadership.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and modelling of remuneration costs.
• Drive process improvements, controls and reporting automation.
• Manage and develop a small team.

Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a high-performing, ASX-listed organisation in a newly available Senior Finance Manager role within a specialist finance function.

This role sits within a broader Financial Control team and is responsible for the accounting, reporting, governance and administration of employee remuneration arrangements, including share-based payment schemes. The position offers strong exposure to senior stakeholders and would suit someone looking to leverage their technical accounting capability in a highly visible role

Importantly, we are open to candidates from any industry background. Financial services experience is not required, provided you have strong end-to-end finance experience and exposure to share-based payments and employee remuneration accounting.

The Role

Reporting to a senior finance leader, key responsibilities will include:

• Ownership of share-based payment accounting and employee remuneration reporting
• Ensuring compliance with AASB 2 / IFRS 2 Share-Based Payments and AASB 119 Employee Benefits
• Managing monthly, quarterly and annual remuneration-related accounting and reconciliations
• Supporting external financial reporting, remuneration disclosures and annual reporting requirements
• Oversight of employee equity plans, including grants, vesting, forfeitures and exercises
• Working closely with HR, payroll, tax, legal and senior leadership teams
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial modelling of remuneration costs
• Driving process improvement, controls enhancement and reporting automation initiatives
• Managing and developing a small team

About You

We are keen to speak with candidates who possess:

• 8+ years' experience in finance, financial reporting, financial control or group finance

Strong understanding of:

• AASB 2 / IFRS 2 Share-Based PaymentsEmployee remuneration and incentive accounting
• Listed company reporting environments
• Experience owning month-end, financial reporting and audit processes
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• A hands-on approach combined with the ability to operate strategically
