Job summary

Building Services is seeking a Service Operations Manager to lead a large field service operation across metropolitan and regional Victoria. You will drive operational performance, customer satisfaction and revenue growth while leading a team of 65–70 employees.

The role reports to the Regional Director and offers hybrid working arrangements, vehicle allowance and a competitive salary package with a bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large operational or service-based teams.
• Strong customer and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated P&L and budget management experience.
• Track record of improving operational performance and service delivery.
• Strong leadership, coaching and people development capability.
• Experience leading change, business improvement or transformation initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Service Managers and operational leaders.
• Drive customer satisfaction across a diverse client portfolio.
• Manage delivery of planned maintenance, reactive service, repairs and minor projects.
• Take ownership of operational performance, workforce productivity and financial outcomes.
• Manage budgets, profitability and key KPIs.
• Build strong relationships with customers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Lead business improvement initiatives and continuous improvement programs.
• Coach and develop leaders to create a high-performance culture.
• Ensure safety, compliance and risk management standards are maintained.
• Support commercial growth and customer retention strategies.
