Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Senior Field Cost Engineer to deliver cost control, reporting and forecasting from the construction site during the EPC execution phase. FIFO to Cloncurry, QLD, on a 2 weeks on / 1 week off roster.

Responsibilities include tracking field costs, leading cost review sessions, and integrating with planning and contracts. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field and 8–14 years of cost engineering experience, with at least 5 years in field cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• 8–10 years of cost engineering experience with EPC/EPCM scope.
• Minimum 5 years in field cost control on major projects.
• Working rights in Australia.

Responsibilities

• Maintain field cost visibility for labour, equipment, materials, subcontractors and services.
• Track daily/weekly cost performance, productivity trends, and quantities installed for earned value.
• Validate actuals, accruals, commitments and budgets for field activities.
• Prepare cost impact assessments for change notices and variations.
