GE Vernova seeks a flexible, highly skilled Controls Lead Field Engineer to manage installation, commissioning and maintenance of control systems across Australia. You will work with Oil & Gas and Power Generation clients, providing hands-on electrical and control system expertise on-site and offshore as needed.

You will lead project preparation, perform functional tests, and coordinate with PMs and subcontractors while maintaining safety and quality standards across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• 4- or 5-year degree in Electrical / Electronic/ Mechanical/IT Engineering, or Technical High School
• 5+ years related work experience in Oil & Gas / Power Plant field activities
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts
• Experience with control systems and field instrumentation
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally

Responsabilités

• Install and commission hardware and software for Oil & Gas and Power Generation projects
• Troubleshoot field installations on-site and remotely as needed
• Lead site planning, customer meetings and job preparation with PM
• Provide on-site training and technical support to customers
• Supervise subcontractors and ensure safety and quality on site
• Document reports, timesheets and project close-out activities
