Job summary

Aggreko in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead control system design and commissioning for a major hybrid energy project. You will collaborate across offices, vendor facilities and remote sites, delivering PLC, SCADA and network solutions and supervising consultants.

You will apply hands-on engineering with FAT/SAT testing, documentation control and system handover to Operations, ensuring performance and cybersecurity considerations are addressed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level or higher in electrical/automation engineering and related fields.
• Significant control systems engineering experience in power, utilities or heavy industry.
• Strong PLC/SCADA and network design skills with project delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, review and commission PLC, SCADA and network architectures.
• Develop control philosophies, I/O lists and functional design specs.
• Support PLC programming, FAT/SAT, and commissioning across sites.
• Coordinate interfaces with electrical, mechanical, BESS, solar and thermal systems.
