Job summary

Eneraque Pty Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Electrical and Controls Engineer to own the electrical, controls and protection scope from design through testing and on-site commissioning.

You’ll work across generator packages, HV/LV systems, protection, and automation, coordinating with workshop, projects, and clients to ensure safe, buildable, and tested solutions. The role emphasizes practical delivery, site engagement, and continuous improvement of electrical and control standards.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified Electrical Engineer with hands-on experience in power generation and industrial environments.
• Experience designing, testing and commissioning electrical and controls systems.
• Practical experience across HV/LV, protection, generator control and automation.
• Strong documentation, fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design HV, LV, protection, control, instrumentation and automation systems.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, functional descriptions, I/O lists and test procedures.
• Support generator synchronising, protection and control integration with HV switchboards, transformers and switchrooms.
• Configure, integrate and troubleshoot generator-control, PLC, HMI and SCADA systems.
• Support workshop integration, factory acceptance testing, site commissioning and handover.
• Identify technical, programme and safety risks and drive practical solutions.
• Collaborate with workshop teams, Project Managers, suppliers, contractors and clients to maintain delivery.
