Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 7 years’ experience with ANSYS, Abaqus, or similar FEA software.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of metals and their damage mechanisms.
• CPEng and/or RPEQ accreditation is favorable.
• Experience with fracture mechanics and FFS is highly favorable.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct advanced FEA analyses for diverse clients and industries.
• Mentor other engineers in FEA methods and practices.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, metallurgists and clients to define project scopes.
• Write and deliver technical reports and presentations communicating results and recommendations.
• Contribute to FEA process improvement by creating tools and new methods; develop best practices.
