Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to lead a team of three Facilities Managers and one Facilities Coordinator, overseeing a diverse client property portfolio in Canberra and Sydney.

You will drive maintenance programs, contractor performance, compliance, and financial oversight, while delivering high-quality service and strategic recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of facilities management experience.
• Experience managing commercial/government/mixed property portfolios.
• Experience leading and developing facilities management teams.
• Strong knowledge of hard FM services, building services and asset management.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and client relationship skills.
• Budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting experience.
• Consistently achieving KPIs and service delivery outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with local and national teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of client properties and ensure effective facilities delivery.
• Oversee reactive and planned maintenance programs and contractor performance.
• Act as primary escalation point for critical incidents and after-hours issues.
• Coordinate recovery plans and engage specialist contractors when needed.
• Build strong relationships with clients, landlords, service providers and internal stakeholders.
• Lead client meetings and provide operational updates and strategic recommendations.
• Ensure timely issue resolution and service level delivery.
• Oversee annual property inspections, compliance and asset records.
