Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. in Canberra is seeking a Senior Facilities Manager to own FM delivery across a portfolio of commercial assets. You will be the primary point of accountability for operations, maintenance, WHS, and contractor performance with a small FM team.

You will oversee day-to-day delivery, ensure WHS compliance, manage essential services, drive ESG targets, and support capital works, reporting monthly to clients. This role requires Australian citizenship and NV2 security preference.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial facilities management with strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, fire safety, and structural building services
• Sound understanding of FM legislative and statutory requirements
• Confident contractor manager with an eye for compliance and cost
• Australian citizen; NV2 security clearance held or eligible (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day FM delivery including building operations, PPM schedules, contractor performance, common area presentation, and access control
• Ensure WHS compliance and manage all property risk items in line with CBRE and client requirements
• Manage essential services certification, the AFSS process, building compliance, and asset registers
• Drive ESG performance across the portfolio and contribute to Strategic Asset Plans and sustainability targets
• Support capital works, tenant fitout approvals, and procurement activity
• Prepare monthly reports and attend key tenant and client meetings
• Direct management of 1 FM

About You

You have solid commercial FM experience and the technical knowledge to manage a live building portfolio confidently. You work independently, manage contractors well, and keep a client satisfied without much hand-holding.
