Job summary

EY External Security Vetting Senior Vetting Analyst is sought to support complex Australian Government PV processes. The role targets experienced personnel vetting practitioners who assess sensitive information, conduct security interviews and provide evidence-based recommendations to support clearance outcomes.

Role may be offered on a flexible, part-time or hybrid basis to balance home and office work. Candidates should have PV experience and strong analytical, interview and communication

Qualifications

• Experience conducting Positive Vetting assessments within Australian Government vetting environments.
• Strong understanding of PSPF, government vetting frameworks and standards.
• Excellent interviewing skills to gather information sensitively and maintain fairness.
• Clear, evidence-based written assessments and recommendations.
• Current Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting).

Responsibilities

• Assess PV security clearance cases according to PSPF and EY requirements.
• Conduct structured applicant interviews, clarifying information and risks.
• Analyze employment history, finances, conduct, integrity and foreign associations.
• Prepare clear, evidence-based case assessments and recommendations.
• Manage a complex, time-sensitive caseload with quality and service delivery.
• Utilise electronic case management systems to track workflows and records.
• Contribute to QA and continuous improvement across vetting operations.
• Escalate complex/high-risk matters and engage in peer reviews.
• Build relationships with stakeholders while handling sensitive information with discretion.
