Job summary

Australian Payments Plus is seeking a Senior Communications Manager – External to lead AP+’s external voice and strengthen its reputation across the payments industry. You will shape thought leadership, manage media relations, and create opportunities to showcase expertise through media, events, podcasts and content.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading external, corporate or stakeholder communications in a complex organisation.
• Ability to build communications plans that connect organisational priorities with audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead external thought leadership agenda and identify opportunities for AP+ to contribute.
• Lead proactive and reactive media relations, manage enquiries and responses.
• Build relationships with journalists across major Australian mastheads and industry publications.
• Develop external communications and Executive materials, including media strategies and talking points.
• Create content for podcasts, events and other original content to showcase AP+ expertise.
• Provide strategic communications advice on issues and crisis preparedness.
