Job summary

Lanson Partners is seeking a Senior Experience Designer in Sydney to shape enterprise-wide customer experiences. You’ll work hands-on across service design, UX and UI, moving from journey mapping to polished interfaces, balancing the big picture with pixel-level detail.

You’ll lead multiple initiatives, collaborate with product and technology teams, and help build design standards and a design system while keeping accessibility and inclusive design at the forefront.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in service design, customer experience design, UX and UI design or a related field.
• Strong UX/UI skills, with strong Figma and prototyping proficiency (the role leans towards the UX/UI end of the spectrum)
• Proven experience in journey mapping, service blueprinting and research-led design
• Experience designing and implementing digital customer experiences with product, technology and delivery teams
• Working knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design principles
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills

Job description

One of my clients is putting its customers at the centre of everything it does, and they need a designer who can help make that happen.

As Senior Experience Designer, you’ll be hands-on in the design work and have the chance to help shape it into an enterprise-wide capability. You’ll start small, working across a high-profile transformation portfolio, and build from there.

This is a role for someone who sees the whole picture. You’ll move between service design, UX and UI, from mapping a customer’s journey end to end through to producing polished, implementation-ready interfaces. The work is about a holistic experience, not just pretty screens.
12-month FTC with the view to go permanent
$140k-$160k + super (Pending experience)
Flexible employer – 2/3 days from the office
Must be based in Sydney

What you’ll work on

• Deep dives into the current mobile app and internet banking experience, identifying gaps, uplift opportunities, and new features
• Design seamless onboarding, intuitive experiences for new customers
• Website and app updates, shaping the value proposition and how customers experience it
• Multiple initiatives at once, spotting where the gaps are and proactively saying "we should be doing X, Y and Z"
• Current vs future state: understanding the operating model and designing what comes next, based on what’s really happening in the business

What you’ll do

• Service and experience design: Design end-to-end customer and employee experiences using journey mapping, service blueprinting and human-centred design

• Collaboration and delivery: Partner with product, technology, operations and other stakeholders, taking designs from discovery through to implementation
• Design practice: Facilitate workshops and help embed human-centred design practices across the business
• Build the foundations: Help establish design standards and a design system where none exists yet

About you
