Job summary

Preacta Recruitment seeks a Senior Product Designer for a contract until June 2027 in Sydney. The role centers on strategy-led UX built on a mature design system, with 2 days a week in the office. You will shape rewards experiences across web and mobile and own your space within a product squad.

You will sit with a Product Manager, Business Analysts, and fellow designers, tackling multi-sided integrations with external partners and a focus on measurable outcomes. Interview process: 2 rounds.

Qualifications

Senior Product Designer (Contract till June 2027)

This is a senior, high-visibility design role. You will shape how people earn, use, and engage with rewards across web and mobile, and how partner brands plug into that experience. The problems are real: multi-sided products, complex partner integrations, and a customer base that expects things to just work.

You will sit in a squad with a Product Manager and Business Analysts, and be backed by a community talented designers.

You won't be the only designer, but you will own your space.

What you'll do

• Lead strategy and UX (around 70% of your time): Discovery, problem framing, journey mapping, concepting, prototyping, and testing
• Build UI on an established design system (around 30%): Apply, extend, and contribute back to a mature component library, with a focus on consistency and craft
• Work directly with stakeholders: Present and defend design decisions to senior internal leaders and external partners, including financial services and consumer brand partners
• Work independently: Take ambiguous problems and drive them to clear, validated solutions with minimal hand-holding
• Collaborate across disciplines: Partner with product, BAs, engineering, and fellow designers to deliver outcomes tied to business metrics

What you'll bring

• Minimum 5+ years in UX/UI or product design, with senior-level ownership of end-to-end delivery
• Strong systems thinking, with experience designing within (and evolving) design systems
• Confidence presenting to stakeholders at all levels, including external partners
• A portfolio that shows strategic thinking as well as craft, from concept to scaled launch
• Skill in interactive prototyping for web and mobile
• A solid grasp of accessibility principles
• Familiarity with tools such as Figma, Jira, and Confluence
• A commercial mindset, with the ability to link design decisions to measurable outcomes
