Job summary

CheerCon Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Events Manager to oversee the planning and delivery of large-scale events across Australia. You will manage complex timelines, budgets and production schedules while coordinating venues and staff.

Travel interstate regularly for events, lead on-site operations, and work with suppliers to ensure high-quality experiences for attendees. This role requires strong project and time management skills and a proactive, detail-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or producing large-scale events.
• Demonstrated experience taking events from initial planning through onsite delivery and post-event review.
• Strong experience managing event staff, contractors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple large-scale events simultaneously, each at different stages of planning and production
• Develop and manage complete event timelines, critical paths and production schedules
• Create detailed event plans, run sheets, floor plans, schedules and operational documents
• Coordinate venues and maintain communication with venue management
• Plan event layouts, competition areas, warm-up areas, merchandise, registration, awards and other operational spaces
• Coordinate production requirements including staging, audio visual, lighting, equipment, signage and event infrastructure
• Manage suppliers, contractors and external service providers; obtain quotes, coordinate bookings and monitor expenditure against budgets
• Identify staffing requirements, recruit and coordinate casual/event staff, create staff allocations and detailed event rosters
• Communicate event information, call times, responsibilities and expectations to staff; coordinate staff travel and accommodation
• Lead staff briefings, manage the event team onsite, coordinate bump-in and setup, manage live event operations and troubleshoot issues
