Senior Event Research Analyst

  • Clerk Grade 7/8 with a salary range of $116,981 - $129,492per annum plus superannuation
  • Ongoing role based in Sydney, NSW
About the role

The Senior Event Research Analyst supports Destination NSW by delivering research and evaluation for a range of events across NSW. The role gathers and analyses information to measure event performance, assess outcomes against key objectives, and provide evidence that informs investment and marketing decisions.

The role manages research projects from planning through to reporting. This includes designing surveys, analysing data, preparing reports, and working with event organisers, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard.

Working across a diverse portfolio of events, the Senior Event Research Analyst provides clear insights and practical recommendations that support future event planning. The role also contributes to improving research processes, reporting practices and ways of working across the team.

About you

The successful candidate will have experience delivering research, evaluation or data analysis projects and be confident managing competing priorities. They will be comfortable working with data, identifying trends and translating findings into clear, practical insights for different audiences.

They will have strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate across teams. Experience preparing reports, managing research activities and working with survey or data analysis tools will be highly regarded.

The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive and committed to delivering accurate, high-quality work. They will enjoy solving problems, finding better ways of working and contributing to informed decision-making through evidence-based insights.
