BESIX Watpac is seeking a Senior Estimator/Cost Planner in Queensland to oversee tender estimates and cost plans across multiple delivery forms. You will identify risks, review designs for cost implications and monitor project costs throughout development and delivery phases.

Collaborate with project teams to prepare detailed cost plans for variations and claims, ensuring disciplined cost control and robust risk management across the broader regional team.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction management or quantity surveying with proven cost planning/estimating experience.
• Experience in cost planning for multi-stage contracts and tendering processes.
• Strong communication to influence across teams and levels.

Job Description

With a strong pipeline ahead in the region, BESIX Watpac is seeking a Senior Estimator / Cost Planner to join the Qld, NT & NZ team managing estimating and cost planning during tender, design development and project delivery phases.

This role will be responsible for:

• Organising and managing tender estimates and project cost plans based on various forms of delivery and contracts.
• Identifying risks associated with head contract tender documents.
• Reviewing project designs through development stages to identify potential cost management risks.
• Monitoring project costs and upstream or downstream cost management concerns.
• Collaborating with project teams to prepare detailed cost plans for head contract variations and similar claims and assisting with agreement of subcontractor and consultant variations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or relevant discipline with highly established experienced in Cost Planning or Estimating.
• Experienced in cost planning and cost management for multi-stage management contracts.
• Clear understanding of industry construction techniques and proficient and proven skills in industry software.
• Ability to communicate, influence and build effective relationships at all levels of the business, working effectively as part of a team.
• Demonstrated ability to manage shifting work priorities to deliver results.
