Job summary

BESIX Watpac is seeking a Design Manager to join our Queensland, Northern Territory & NZ Construction team, driven by a strong project backlog. You will lead design teams and coordinate consultants to ensure documentation meets brief, time, and budget constraints.

You will review designs for regulatory compliance and constructability, partnering with construction teams to drive efficiencies and robust delivery methodologies across multi-disciplinary projects.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead design teams and manage external consultants.
• Experience delivering large scale D&C projects from inception to completion.
• Strong collaboration with stakeholders to achieve best project outcomes.
• Ability to deliver results in a fast paced construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage consultants to deliver high quality design documentation on time and within budget.
• Lead the review of project design for regulatory and building compliance.
• Review design for constructability with construction teams and subcontractors.
• Contribute to development of delivery methodologies for the project.
