Job summary

Design & Build Recruitment is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a well-established contractor delivering utilities and underground infrastructure projects across Sydney and NSW. You will prepare accurate estimates, review drawings and manage tenders from initial review through submission.

Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and work closely with Project Delivery and Commercial teams to ensure a smooth handover in a growing, dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as an Estimator in utilities, underground infrastructure or civil construction.
• Strong understanding of earthworks, trenching, excavation and underground services.
• Experience with first-principles estimating and tender preparation.
• Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Our client is a well-established specialist contractor delivering utilities and underground infrastructure projects across Sydney and NSW.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join their team and play a key role in securing new projects.

The Role

• Prepare accurate, competitive estimates and tenders for civil and underground utility projects.
• Review drawings, scopes, quantities and specifications and undertake first-principles estimating.
• Manage the tender process from initial review through to submission.
• Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.

About You

• Proven experience as an Estimator within utilities, underground infrastructure or civil construction.
