Job summary

Constructability Recruitment – Sydney CBD NSW seeks an Electrical Estimator to own the electrical scope from take-off to handover for infrastructure tenders. The role focuses on HV/LV reticulation, switchboards, cabling and containment, with experience in utility projects and familiarity with Australian standards.

You will prepare estimates, build up rates, source and evaluate subcontractor quotes, and present cost plans at settlements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years electrical estimating on infrastructure, water, utilities or industrial projects.
• Experience tendering to major utilities authorities is preferred.
• Proficiency with estimating software and advanced Excel required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical and ICA estimates – HV/LV reticulation, switchboards and MCCs, cabling and containment, earthing, instrumentation, SCADA and telemetry.
• Complete take-offs and build up rates covering labour, materials, plant, subcontract and prelims.
• Source, analyse and negotiate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Present cost plans and risk/opportunity registers at settlement meetings.

Electrical Estimator – Mixed Utilities

A re-structured team of multiple Estimators across MEP, Civil and Structural has entered an exciting phase and we’re looking for an Electrical Estimator to own the electrical scope across our tenders, from take-off to handover.

This Tier 1 civil contractor is renowned for the delivery of power and water major utilities infrastructure – OHW/transmission, water treatment plants, pump stations, reservoirs, pipelines and network renewals. The Pre-Construction Leader is bringing fresh thinking to how bids are built, and this global business is fully behind it – backing the approach with genuine investment and support. Experience tendering to TransGrid, Ausgrid, Sydney Water, Hunter Water or similar authorities, and familiarity with HV and network connection processes, will be well regarded.
