Job summary

3D Recruitment is partnering with an award-winning commercial construction company delivering projects across education, health, aged care and government sectors in Melbourne. They require a Senior Estimator to join their team and contribute to a diverse pipeline of upcoming tenders.

You will prepare accurate, competitive tenders, review drawings and specifications, develop cost estimates and engage with subcontractors to secure competitive pricing, while working closely with delivery teams to

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator in commercial construction.
• Experience estimating across education, health, aged care, community, leisure or government sectors.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, costs and subcontractor pricing.
• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive tenders for a diverse range of commercial construction projects.
• Review project documentation, drawings, specifications and scope requirements.
• Develop detailed cost estimates, budgets and tender submissions.
• Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
• Analyse project risks, exclusions, inclusions and commercial requirements.
• Work closely with the construction and project delivery teams throughout the tender process.
• Assist with procurement strategies and ensure tender submissions are delivered within required timeframes.
• Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and project stakeholders.

• Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Confident reviewing complex documentation and identifying project risks.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and competing deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
