Job summary

Anglo American Australia is looking for an Environmental Superintendent at Moranbah North Mine to lead a team of environmental professionals and deliver the Annual Environmental Plan.

You will report to the Technical Services Manager and ensure compliance with environmental permits, legislation and regulatory requirements while driving improvements across environmental programs in a large underground mining operation.

Qualifications

• Senior environmental experience within Resources or Mining sectors, preferably coal.
• Proven leadership in environmental field and ISO 14001 knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of state and federal environmental legislation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of environmental professionals and deliver the Annual Environmental Plan.
• Develop and implement Environmental Programs & Projects to maintain compliance.
• Coordinate environmental and cultural heritage matters and manage budgets.
• Lead environmental incident investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain relationships with DETSI and other regulators.
