Job summary

Anglo American Australia’s Moranbah North Mine is seeking an Environmental Superintendent to lead a team of environmental professionals and deliver the Annual Environmental Plan. You will report to the Technical Services Manager and ensure compliance with permits, legislation, and regulatory requirements while advancing your mining career in a large underground environment.

The role includes developing environment programs, managing budgets, and guiding stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Senior environmental experience within the Resources or Mining sectors.
• Tertiary qualification in an Environmental discipline.
• Sound knowledge of State and Federal environmental legislation.
• Demonstrated leadership with ISO 14001 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead innovation and development of site environmental programs.
• Develop the Annual Environmental Plan aligned with the Sustainable Mine Plan.
• Set yearly objectives to meet EA and EPBC compliance.
• Coordinate environmental and cultural heritage matters across the site.
• Lead and mentor a team of environmental professionals.
