Job summary

FVC in Australia is seeking a Senior-Principal Environmental Consultant/Team Leader to guide the Environmental Assessment and Management (EAM) team. You will oversee projects on environmental assessments, approvals, and biodiversity, coordinating with stakeholders to deliver compliant outcomes.

The role requires a bachelor degree in environmental disciplines, 5–20+ years of EIA experience, and the ability to lead teams and manage client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in environmental science, environmental management, natural resource management, or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Commonwealth and WA State environmental legislation and its application.
• 5–20+ years of experience in environmental impact assessment and management.
• Experience contributing to EIA, environmental approvals and environmental compliance scopes.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams and consulting projects.
• Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
• Proactive mindset and commitment to delivering results in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the established EAM team.
• Lead and contribute to projects related to environmental assessments, approvals and biodiversity protection through documentation and stakeholder consultation.
• Assist clients to meet environmental compliance requirements including managing environmental management plans and monitoring programs.
• Strengthen client relationships and provide strategic direction.
• Collaborate with Biological team to deliver holistic environmental assessments.
• Contribute to the strategic direction of the business.
