Job summary

Ravenswood Gold Pty Ltd seeks a Senior Environmental Advisor to lead environmental performance at Queensland's largest gold mine. You will drive compliance, monitor programs across air, water and soils, and mentor others within the Environmental, Approvals and Community team on a 2-year tenure.

You will coordinate reporting, lead improvement initiatives, manage consultants, and support a safe, sustainable operation near Ravenswood. Relocation may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years' experience in a mining environmental role.
• Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of environmental monitoring programs and compliance obligations.
• Experience coordinating internal and external environmental reporting.
• Demonstrated data analysis, problem-solving and investigation skills.
• Experience managing environmental consultants and contractors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency with MS Office, environmental databases and GIS.
• Current Queensland manual driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safety, environmental stewardship, and compliance with site standards.
• Coordinate monitoring programs for air, water, soils, and wastewater.
• Interpret monitoring data and ensure compliance with approvals.
• Develop and improve Environmental Management System procedures and work instructions.
• Coordinate statutory and corporate environmental reporting (NGERS, NPI, DES waste).
• Lead incident investigations, reporting, and corrective actions.
• Provide technical environmental advice to operations.
• Deliver environmental improvement projects and initiatives.
• Manage environmental consultants and contractors to ensure quality outcomes.
• Collaborate with the broader team to meet business objectives.
