Job summary

Ravenswood Gold Pty Ltd invites graduates to join its Environmental Advisory team for a 2-year program at Queensland's largest gold mine. You will engage in environmental monitoring, reporting and compliance activities while developing practical industry experience.

The role is designed to lead to ongoing employment through structured mentorship and a broad exposure to rehabilitation and sustainability projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Environmental Science, Management, Ecology, NRM or related discipline.
• Recent graduate or due to complete studies soon.
• Current C Class Manual Driver Licence or ability to obtain.
• Eligibility to work in Australia.
• Relevant internship/fieldwork experience highly regarded.
• Strong commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and data management.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving; proficiency with MS Office (Excel/Word).
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to undertake field-based work in North Queensland.

Responsibilities

• Complete the Ravenswood Gold Graduate Program, including the design, delivery, and reporting of a graduate project.
• Provide field and office-based support to the Environment, Approvals and Community team.
• Assist with environmental monitoring programs across surface water, groundwater, air quality, effluent, potable water, noise and vibration.
• Develop the skills to independently undertake environmental monitoring and compliance activities.
• Operate and maintain environmental monitoring equipment.
• Record, compile and analyse environmental data from field instruments and laboratory reports.
• Assist with environmental and safety inspections across site.
• Support environmental reporting, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promote responsible environmental practices and contribute to a positive environmental culture.
• Work safely and in accordance with company standards and procedures.

We're seeking a motivated Graduate Environmental Advisor to join our Environment, Approvals and Community (EAC) team. Reporting to the Environmental Superintendent, this role offers an outstanding opportunity to develop practical industry experience while contributing to environmental compliance and sustainable mining practices.

This 2-year tenure position, with the possibility of ongoing employment provides exposure to a broad range of environmental activities. You'll work alongside experienced professionals who will support your development as you build a rewarding career in the mining industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete the Ravenswood Gold Graduate Program, including the design, delivery, and reporting of a graduate project.
