CommBank is seeking a Chapter Lead/Senior Engineering Manager for Group Security Data Engineering in Sydney. You will lead a sizeable team delivering a modern cloud data platform, transforming legacy capabilities and shaping data products for analytics, AI and cyber defence.

You will drive architecture, data modelling and engineering standards while partnering with security specialists and product owners to translate complex requirements into scalable, secure solutions.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading data engineering teams in complex environments.
Delivery of large-scale data platforms or analytics solutions.
Strong data architecture, modelling, integration and platform design skills.
Experience with AWS data services and cloud-native data environments.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a high-performing data engineering team.
Define and execute engineering strategy for group security data platforms.
Oversee migration from legacy to modern cloud data environment.
Provide technical leadership across data architecture and platform design.
Ensure secure, scalable data pipelines and reusable data products.
Drive automation, testing, observability and CI/CD practices.
