Job summary

Commonwealth Bank in Sydney is seeking a Chapter Lead / Senior Engineering Manager to guide a sizeable data engineering team building a security data platform powering analytics, AI and cyber defence. You will shape a major cloud data transformation using AWS, Snowflake and modern data engineering practices.

You will define the engineering strategy for Group Security data platforms, lead migrations to a cloud environment, and collaborate with product owners, architects and security specialists

Qualifications

Experience leading data engineering teams.
Proven track record delivering large-scale data platforms.
Strong knowledge of data architecture and cloud-native platforms.
Experience with AWS data services and Snowflake preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead and coach a data engineering team in a complex enterprise.
Define and execute the engineering strategy for data platforms.
Oversee migration from legacy platforms to a modern cloud data environment.
Provide technical leadership across data architecture, modelling and integration.
Deliver secure, resilient, scalable data pipelines and reusable products.
Drive automation, testing, observability, CI/CD and operational discipline.
