SMEC in Sydney seeks an Experienced Engineering Geologist to join our Geotech & Tunnels team. You will plan and conduct engineering geology projects, deliver analysis and design tasks, and support project outcomes to meet client and organisational expectations.

You will lead projects of varying complexity, mentor junior staff, maintain client relationships, ensure adherence to Australian Standards, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver quality outcomes.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering geology, ideally within an Engineering Consultancy.
• Strong understanding of relevant Australian Standards and specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Experience preparing technical reports and proposals.
• Ability to interpret and communicate complex technical information clearly.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach.
• Client-focused mindset with the ability to manage expectations effectively.
• Understanding of organisational capability and ability to leverage internal expertise.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver engineering geology analysis and design tasks in accordance with technical standards and client requirements.
• Plan and execute projects of moderate complexity, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, stakeholders, and contributors to ensure coordination across project deliverables.
• Prepare technical reports, documentation, and proposals for small to medium-sized projects.
• Manage project scope, risks, and competing priorities effectively.
• Contribute to the commercial success of projects and the broader team.
• Apply sound project management principles to achieve deliverables on time and to the required standard.
• Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
