Job summary

SJ Group in Sydney seeks an Experienced Engineering Geologist to join our Geotech & Tunnels team, applying technical expertise and project management across varied projects while delivering analysis and design tasks for client outcomes.

Tageted candidates hold a tertiary Engineering/Geology qualification with 5+ years of experience, strong knowledge of Australian Standards, and the ability to mentor juniors and build client relationships.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or Geology.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in engineering geology.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards and specifications.
• Experience in reporting and proposals.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly.
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.
• Client-focused with ability to manage expectations.
• Experience in engineering consultancy.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engineering geology analysis and design tasks as per standards.
• Plan and execute projects of moderate complexity with quality delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
• Prepare technical reports and proposals for small to medium projects.
• Manage project scope, risks and priorities effectively.
• Contribute to commercial success of projects and team.
