Job summary

SMEC invites applications for a Graduate Engineering Geologist in Sydney. You will contribute to geotechnical and geological field investigations, assist with engineering design and reporting, and support proposals and deliverables under guidance from experienced professionals.

You will develop technical expertise, learn from a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to projects shaping the built environment while prioritising safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with geotechnical and geological field investigations, data collection and interpretation.
• Contribute to engineering design, technical calculations, documentation and reporting.
• Support the preparation of proposals, specifications and project deliverables.
• Analyze information and apply engineering and scientific principles to solve practical problems.
• Collaborate with project managers, senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Participate in team discussions, technical training and professional development activities.
• Develop understanding of relevant legislation, engineering standards, project procedures and commercial practices.
• Build strong professional relationships while demonstrating safety, quality and ethical conduct.
