Job summary

Sedgman Pty Limited in Brisbane seeks an Engineering/Design Manager to lead the design function for mineral processing projects. You will coordinate design across studies, design and delivery stages, in Australia and globally, ensuring quality and compliance.

The role requires 3–5 years in mineral processing and at least 2 years in design management, with strong leadership and stakeholder coordination. Sedgman values safety, innovation and career development in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Mineral Processing industry.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in engineering design management role
• Extensive knowledge on organisation projects and practices.
• Experience in leading and managing technical/project teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate engineers and drafting staff performance.
• Programme workloads and provide technical/admin guidance to the Design Engineering staff.
• Coordinate resource planning to meet design requirements.
• Prepare and control issue of the Project Design Management Plan.
• Coordinate design interfaces with the Client’s other designers.
• Manage Engineers/ Designers to issue documents to the project team and vendors.
• Coordinate responses to technical queries from contractors and other project staff.
• Identify, investigate and report on design non-conformances and costs.
• Ensure compliance with Sedgman Design Management Systems and NCRs.
