Job summary

Westpac Group’s AI Services team is seeking a senior contributor to own complex workstreams and major feature sets across software, data, AI, integration and operations. You will turn solution direction into tested, production-ready products while mentoring engineers and strengthening shared delivery patterns.

You will build AI-powered full-stack solutions, ensuring safe model governance, reliable deployments, and robust incident support across enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on full-stack engineering across software, data, AI, integration and operations.
• Experience building AI-powered end-to-end solutions.
• Ability to mentor engineers and review designs.

Responsibilities

• Own a complex workstream from design to release, operation and production support.
• Build AI-powered full-stack solutions across software, data, AI, integration and user experience.
• Create reliable contracts across data, services, AI components, user journeys and enterprise systems.
• Engineer safe model and agent behaviour through access controls, evaluation, monitoring and fallback.
• Own versioning, compatibility, deployment, rollback, recovery, diagnostics and incident support.
• Review designs and code, mentor engineers and identify material technical, delivery, data, model and operational risks early.

• Own a complex workstream or major feature set from detailed design through release, operation and production support.
• Build AI-powered full-stack solutions across software, data, AI, integration and user experience.
• Create reliable contracts across data, services, AI components, user journeys and enterprise systems.
• Engineer safe model and agent behaviour through access controls, approved tools, evaluation, monitoring and fallback.
• Own versioning, compatibility, deployment, rollback, recovery, diagnostics and incident support.
• Review designs and code, mentor engineers and identify material technical, delivery, data, model and operational risks early.
