Job summary

St Bart’s in Perth is seeking a Senior Engagement Worker to support residents transitioning from accommodation into sustainable housing. This role involves working closely with consumers, helping them navigate challenges and celebrate wins.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people experiencing homelessness or mental health challenges.
• Ability to build trust and rapport with consumers.
• Confidence in providing guidance and knowledge sharing.

Responsibilities

• Support the Team Leader in delivering consumer-focused services.
• Manage a caseload of consumers with complex needs.
• Develop trauma-informed recovery plans.
• Assist consumers in sustaining tenancies.
• Coordinate with teams and stakeholders for supports.

Skills

Community Services knowledge

Understanding of trauma-informed practices

Strong assessment and problem-solving skills

Experience with complex needs

Education

Qualification in Community Services, Social Work, Social Science or related field (minimum Cert IV)
