Job summary

Breville is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer in Sydney to design and deliver embedded solutions across appliances, cloud and mobile platforms.

You will work with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, product and design, using C/C++ and Python across diverse environments, and participate in continuous improvement of system architectures while embracing a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering or similar.
• 7+ years' experience in embedded software.
• Experience with C/C++ on embedded targets and PC testing.
• Hands-on hardware configuration/troubleshooting experience.
• Git, unit testing, code reviews, and issue tracking experience.
• Python for high-end embedded systems (Raspberry Pi/PC).
• Experience with AWS IoT or other IoT platforms.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with JS/TS and React Native for Android.

Responsibilities

• Create embedded software for appliances, integrating with hardware, cloud and mobile apps.
• Develop reusable software across mobile, embedded and high-end systems using JS/TS, C/C++, Python.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware, firmware, product and design.
• Optimize software architectures and interfaces for performance, reliability and scalability.
