Job summary

Breville Group, based in Sydney, seeks a Senior Industrial Designer to lead design execution on complex product programs. You will mentor junior designers, drive design quality, and align design direction with brand and business goals.

You will apply advanced CAD modelling, DFA/DFM expertise, and deep knowledge of manufacturing processes to deliver exceptional user experiences while collaborating with engineers, researchers, and suppliers across the product development cycle.

New Product Development Team

Purpose

As a Senior Industrial Designer, you will take ownership of design-led thinking and execution across complex projects, playing a pivotal role in shaping Breville\u2019s product experiences. You are expected to operate with a high degree of independence, consistently demonstrating craft excellence, sound judgment, and strong commercial awareness. This role represents a shift from contributor to leader and mentor, where your influence extends beyond individual execution to include project direction, junior designer growth, and contribution to team culture.

You will help define the future of design at Breville by mentoring, role modelling, and championing excellence in process and outcomes. Senior Designers are expected to anticipate needs, identify opportunities, and create strategic design value that aligns with business goals.

• Strong understanding of intellectual property principles and the ability to identify, document, and protect innovation opportunities with commercial value.
