Job summary

City of Stirling is seeking a Senior Electrical Technical Officer to lead the planning, delivery and governance of lighting and electrical infrastructure programs. You will guide street lighting upgrades, LED conversion projects and asset management to benefit the public.

You will work with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders to deliver safe, efficient and sustainable infrastructure while applying strong project management and technical expertise across a diverse portfolio.

Qualifications

• Electrical trade or engineering qualification required.
• Experience delivering electrical infrastructure projects.
• Strong project management and coordination skills.
• Experience managing external contractors.
• Ability to interpret technical documentation.
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication.
• Sound knowledge of lighting infrastructure practices.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate maintenance and inspection programs
• Manage contractors, consultants and suppliers
• Assess lighting upgrade and modification requests
• Liaise with Western Power and utilities
• Monitor project budgets and expenditure
• Provide specialist electrical technical advice
