Job summary

Randstad is partnering with a leading public infrastructure delivery provider in Queensland to secure a Senior Project Manager (Electrical) based in South Brisbane. You will lead the delivery of critical electrical and ITS infrastructure projects across the state, overseeing design, construction and maintenance contracts and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality.

Responsibilities

• Drive multiple electrical and ITS infrastructure projects through the full PM lifecycle, on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Coordinate project teams, suppliers, and contractors to maximize performance and achieve target outcomes.
• Oversee contracts relating to design, construction, and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Resolve complex technical or operational challenges, prepare project submissions, and present progress and risk mitigation strategies to senior stakeholders.
• Identify internal/external capabilities and lead the selection and engagement of specialised suppliers and contractors.

Are you an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in electrical infrastructure ? An exciting opportunity has arisen with a leading public infrastructure delivery provider in Queensland . We are seeking a high-performing Senior Project Manager (Electrical) to lead the delivery of critical electrical and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) infrastructure projects across the state . You will oversee the full project lifecycle, managing complex design, construction, and maintenance contracts that directly impact Queensland's transport network .

What You Will Be Doing

• Project Delivery: Drive multiple electrical and ITS infrastructure projects through the complete project management lifecycle , delivering on time, within budget, and to required quality standards .
• Team Leadership: Coordinate, guide, and deploy project teams, suppliers, and contractors to maximize performance and achieve target outcomes .
• Contract Administration: Oversee contracts relating to design, construction, and ongoing maintenance activities .
• Problem Solving & Reporting: Resolve complex technical or operational challenges, prepare project submissions, and present progress and risk mitigation strategies to senior stakeholders .
• Procurement: Identify internal/external capabilities and lead the selection and engagement of specialized suppliers and contractors .

What We Are Looking For

• Driver's Licence: Valid 'C' class driver's licence (or equivalent) .
• Mobility: Willingness to undertake industry-standard travel across Queensland as required .
• Background Checks: Ability to pass a standard criminal history check prior to appointment .
• Technical Expertise & Knowledge: Strong expertise in road lighting, traffic signals, and Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) construction and maintenance principles .
• Proven track record using formal project management methodologies and tools to achieve complex delivery goals .
• Ability to connect broader organisational goals to team priorities and establish clear success indicators .

Desirable Criteria

• Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Project Management .
• Demonstrated program or project management experience within the electrical infrastructure sector .
