Engineeringtradesaustralia is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Electrical for a site-based project delivery role supporting Rio Tinto Weipa Bauxite Operations at Amrun. The role focuses on electrical scopes across planning, procurement, construction, commissioning and close-out within a mining environment.

The role is 12 months, FIFO with a 9 days on/5 days off roster, based in Weipa or surrounding area, requiring strong contractor management and cost control capabilities alongside safety and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5–8 years of site-based project execution experience.
• Strong electrical construction, testing and commissioning experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical scopes across planning, procurement, construction, commissioning and close-out.
• Manage contractor relationships and site activities to meet safety, quality and schedule targets.
• Co-ordinate procurement, estimating, scheduling and cost control for electrical works.
• Review technical designs, drawings and specifications and respond to technical queries.
• Ensure compliance with site requirements, QA procedures and as-constructed documentation.
