Job summary

UGL is seeking an Electrical Design and Engineering professional to lead the design, procurement, construction and commissioning documentation for major road infrastructure projects in Australia. The role reports to the Discipline Lead Electrical and includes mentoring engineers within the electrical disciplines.

Key responsibilities include managing timely design delivery, maintaining Design Management Plans, and ensuring compliance with safety and project requirements across multi-disciplinary

Qualifications

• Min. 6 years Electrical project engineering experience with strong experience within construction of large Road Infrastructure ideal.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Relevant Rail Industry Worker competencies.
• Development of SHEQ process and procedures and management of others in conducting SHEQ process and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of the overall project and communicate to Project Team members.
• Maintain Design Management Plans and provide status updates to Project Program.
• Review and oversee design outputs for compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure reviews, verifications and validations are planned and incorporated into design.
• Ensure design conforms to safety, environmental, construction, commissioning and operating requirements.
• Assist procurement, construction and commissioning teams.
